—A Blindfolded Shamanic Trance-Dance Journey
Close your eyes.
Follow the pulse.
Let the body lead.
EKSTASIS comes from the ancient Greek ékstasis — to stand outside oneself. A state of moving beyond the ordinary self. Beyond the known. Beyond the boundaries of who we think we are.
This FELD Experience is a journey into that threshold. EKSTASIS is a two-hour guided journey through breath, hypnotic rhythm, repetition and intuitive movement.
It is an invitation to move beneath the thinking mind and enter the deeper intelligence of the body—not by forcing anything to happen, but by listening, following and allowing.
There is no choreography.
Nothing to perform.
Nothing to prove.
Nothing you need to achieve.
The body already knows the way.
Trance dance is an embodied practice that uses sustained rhythm, repetitive movement, breath and reduced visual stimulation to support deep absorption.
As the rhythm becomes an anchor, the judging mind may soften and movement becomes more instinctive. You may experience intensity, stillness, emotion, resistance, release or simple presence. There is no state to achieve—every journey is different.
EKSTASIS is for those who want to:
Move beyond self-consciousness
Explore embodied trance
Reconnect with instinct and intuition
Express what words cannot reach
Experience movement as ritual
Trust the body’s innate intelligence
You do not need to be a dancer—only willing to listen.
EKSTASIS is dance—but unlike a typical ecstatic dance, it is primarily an inward journey.
Blindfolded and within your own movement space, you are guided through grounding and breath into repetition, hypnotic rhythm and sustained movement. Atmospheric sound, ritual drums and deep electronic pulses build towards intensity, surrender, release and rest.
Ecstatic moments may arise, but ecstasy is not the destination. The invitation is to disappear into movement—until only the dance remains.
The journey. —
Arrival
Orientation, boundaries and physical safety.
Grounding
Breath, sensation and subtle movement awaken the body.
Entering the blindfold
Breath becomes movement. Movement becomes repetition. Repetition becomes rhythm.
Building the trance
The music intensifies as guidance fades and embodied intelligence takes over.
Peak and surrender
Movement may become expansive, instinctive and raw—without pushing beyond your limits.
Descent and landing
The rhythm softens into stillness, rest and integration before you slowly remove the blindfold.
The biggest gift was discovering how naturally my body knew how to move and release tension. I simply followed its guidance—and experienced the medicine held within my own body. The music and live musicians made the journey truly special – Maria
I only wish I could have stayed until the end. I deeply resonated with your words and felt grateful to be guided by you on this beautiful inward journey.– Theodora
Sovereignty and Safety
You remain sovereign throughout the journey. At any time, you may slow down, stop, sit, lie down, open your eyes, remove your blindfold, breathe naturally, ask for support, or leave.
Your body’s no belongs here.
There is no intentional contact between participants. Space guardians help prevent collisions and may use their voice or gentle, minimal touch to guide you towards more space.
Emotional expression, sound, stillness and movement are welcome while respecting the boundaries and safety of everyone in the room.
If you become overwhelmed, dizzy or disoriented, stop moving, remove your blindfold and allow your breathing to return to normal. Feel your feet, look around and orient to the floor, walls and exits.
If you have a health condition that may affect your participation, are pregnant, are recovering from an injury or are uncertain whether this experience is suitable for you, please contact me beforehand.
Please bring:
Comfortable clothes that allow unrestricted movement
A water bottle
Warm layers for the landing and integration
Your own blindfold, if requested for the specific event
An open mind and a willingness to listen to your body
We move barefoot. If being barefoot is unsuitable for you, soft non-slip dance shoes or socks may be used where the venue allows.
Please avoid a heavy meal immediately beforehand and arrive sober, with enough time to settle before we begin.
No previous dance experience is required.
