Preparing Your Journey: Rise & Refine — Bridge the Chaos. Find the Signal.
To safely shed your skin and transition from doing into being, please prepare your space and body. These 75 minutes are your laboratory for release.
1. Creating Your Sanctuary
Prepare a space where you feel safe, held, and undisturbed:
❖ Undisturbed Space: Turn off notifications and ensure privacy.
❖ Sound: Use at best headphones or high-quality speakers for the full frequency.
❖ Darkness: A blindfold or eye mask to internalize your focus.
❖ Support: A yoga mat or a soft surface to lie on.
❖ Warmth: A blanket and comfortable, loose clothing.
❖ Hydration: Have water nearby.
2. Safety & Contraindications
Somatic Breathwork is a deep physical and emotional experience. For your safety, participation is not permitted if you have:
Cardiovascular disease, irregularities, or a previous heart attack.
Epilepsy, strokes, seizures, or other neurological disorders.
High blood pressure (not managed by medication).
Use of prescription blood thinners (e.g., Coumadin).
Pregnancy (strictly not during the first 12 weeks; after that, please consult me).
A diagnosis of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia.
Hospitalization for a psychiatric condition or emotional crisis in the last 10 years.
Asthma: Participation is possible; please have your inhaler ready.
PTSD: If you have severe current symptoms, please seek approval from your therapist.
Questions?
If you have concerns about your physical or psychiatric suitability, please contact me before the session.
3. Trauma-Informed Awareness & Responsibility
This is a safe, supportive space where you are in control. * Your Pace: You decide the depth of your breath and movement. The journey is designed to regulate your nervous system, not overwhelm it.
The Anchor: Forgiveness and oneness are woven into every phase to provide a safe landing for your emotions.
Self-Responsibility: By attending, you agree to take full responsibility for your health, long-term well-being, and integration after the session. I am not responsible for the outcomes of your participation.
4. Entering the Lab
Try to avoid heavy meals 1–2 hours before we begin. Come as you are—with your "muchness" and your armor. We are here to soften it together.
I look forward to breathing with you.
